October 17-18, 2020  The NC Oyster Festival, sponsored by Novant Health, is always held the third weekend in October. The festival combines the regionally celebrated oyster with live entertainment from sought after bands, over one hundred arts and crafts vendors, a variety of mouth-watering food vendors and the annual shag, oyster eating, shucking and stew contests. Every year brings something new and unexpected while also embracing the traditions of the festival.
