1 W. First St.
Ocean Isle Beach, NC

(910) 579-3095

One of the favorite spots of vacationers and locals alike is the Ocean Isle Beach Pier, founded in 1957 and celebrating 60 years in 2017. This fishing pier is a great spot to catch everything from Whiting, Spots, Bluefish, Trout, Flounder, and King Mackerel. Other species caught locally include Cobia, Virginia Mullet, Pompano, Tarpon, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Red Drum, Croaker, Grey Trout, Ladyfish, Spadefish, and Pinfish. No shark fishing is allowed. You can bring your own fishing equipment or rent it at the pier. Fishing passes can be purchased for daily, weekly or season fishing. Fishermen can fish off the pier using the pier’s fishing license. The pier does not sell fishing licenses for off property fishing. You will also find a large arcade room with a jukebox, video games, games of skill, games of chance, and billiards. The pier’s grill serves as a local favorite spot for breakfast and lunch daily. You can indulge your sweet tooth at Sunset Slush or the Soft Serve Ice Cream store, both located on the pier. The fishing pier also has a store where you can buy packaged ice cream, candy, chips, ice, drinks, water, some beach supplies, pier t-shirt and hats, fishing bait, tackle and rods. Fishing fees are $9 per rod. Spectators are charged $1 for adults and 50 cents for children younger than 12. Parking is free for fishermen and restaurant patrons; $5 per day for beachgoers.
